For the past couple of weeks, I've been washing my hair without using hair conditioner. The local shops ran out of my favourite conditioner - Pantene Anti-breakage. So imagine the state of my hair after every single wash...dry as the African crops!
Whenever I run out of conditioner I usually use aloe-enriched, alcohol-free hair polisher. But today, for some unknown reason, it's not working. I couldn't get rid of the stubborn knots. Running out of patience I picked up a pair of scissors and chopped off two big chunks of tangled hair.
I know! Terrible. And stupid. I'm dreading the sight I'll be faced with once my hair gets dry. I was so tempted to take a picture of the damn unwanted hair. But then I thought against it. I don't want a reminder of my foolish act! The mirror will take care of that.
After the abrupt operation, I combed my hair and somehow, my head feels lighter. *sighs*
Thank god I don't have any special engagements in the next few weeks coming up. By the time my social life picks up again, hopefully my hair will grow back to a reasonable length, and enough to camouflage the gaping, unmistakable void at the back of my head.
If for any reason I'm being asked about my new hairstyle, I can give the 'gum' excuse! Ha!

Ohhh I've done that before! I freaked out and my hair was the victim! hahaha good thing about hair-it grows back and gum is a GREAT excuse.
Lucky for my, my hair is short, hehe.. Well, I'm a guy, so that figures, rite? :P
ohhhhhh!!! lol well that was quite impulsive!
hope it's not too bad! ^^
Lol :) I cut my own hair only once. People discouraged me from doing so again. :) ... You can wear a wig if you have an emergency engagement.
Frankly speaking, I cut my hair myself when I feel like it :-P
The first time was when I wanted fringes and was broke. So I took those big pair of scissors my dad keeps in his drawer and cut my front hair. I wanted them near my eyebrows and I forgot that having curly hair makes it look shorter. (It was a little diagonal too)-- EWW!!!
Still, I was brave enough to try it again 3 months later and I got better at it :D
@MKL yes guys don't have any hair problems like we women do! :)
@Bruno I don't own any wig! Hubby hates wigs...lol
@Metro I'm impulsive by nature.
@Reech I've cut my hair before and same like you, I tend to forget that while trimming curly hair, it'll be shorter than what you had planned. hehehe
@Liz Sure it'll grow back but how long it'll take?! *sighs*
Lol you're cute. I'm sure your hair isn't like that cat. Out of curiosity, why didn't you get another conditioner from the store? Maybe not your favorite but at least it can still control your hair, right?:)
My mom told me about olive oil being good for the hair and makes it silky. Maybe you should try it too :)
Because I've tried all the other conditioner...and my hair likes Pantene - Anti Breakage. I'm having problems getting shampoos and conditioners which wouldn't 'harm' my hair...In London I was using VO5. Over here they don't have any of that. My hair becomes thin and vulnerable if I use any other shampoo. It falls more. That's why I'm cautious of what hair products I utilize.
I also looked for Almond oil but it looks like this country is hiding under a rock. Most of the locals buy their stuff from the states. Cheaper too sometimes.
That is too funny, that cat's hair, sometimes I feel too lazy to use my conditioner, but I try to make myself do it anyway, I hate stringy hair!
Secretia
When u run out of conditioner the best thing to do is to mix some oil in your shampoo and wash ur hair with it...you can use any oil, olive oil, almond oil or johnson or any baby oil..it does the trick..and makes ur hair shiny and makes it grow as well, plus thres no chemical in it...
Oh I'll try that later...because I need to wash my hair. I've got Johnson's Baby Oil...hehehe thanks Az!!
u tel me how it was..it does work for me..u have to try it a few times..to get the right combo between the oil and the shampoo..but it leaves my hair dark and shiny..
@Azra I tried it! And I must say it kinda works. I didn't use any hair polisher after the wash and it's not that dry. I'm stoked!! I mixed almost half a bottle with Johson's Baby Oil with Pantene Shampoo. Hihihihi...
glad to know it works for u too...u only needed a few drops with a dash of shampoo..with johnson baby oil u dont run any risk..did u know it can keep ur hair from turning white as well! dont be as generous if u use other oil like almond or olive a little of these will do the trick..
another trick as scrub for the body u can use honey, lemon juice and sugar mixed together and rubbed on ur skin while having ur shower..it leaves ur skin very nice and shiny and very cheap scrub as well!
